Good News, Bad News

The good news is that I called my car insurance company to tell them that my ca hadn't been driven since December and wasn't going to be driven again any time soon, and they were able to put me on a "storage plan" which knocked $90 off my premium, which is due in a few days.

The bad news is that when I went out to get the mileage for the CSR, I discovered that the car won't start. I though I'd been good about starting the engine and letting it run from time to time, but apparently I wasn't as good as I'd thought. (The check engine light had also come on back when it was still moveable, but that can mean almost anything.) So when I do finally get the car fixed, it is probably going to take a bit more money than I'd thought it would. Nice.

Ah well, I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Nothing I can do about it right now.

The check engine light came on because your gas is getting really old. If it wouldn't start then there could be problems with dirty fuel injectors...which would certainly happen if the car is not being driven around. Your battery might also be near dead, if it has not been driven around, since the alternator is not getting time to recharge it after cranking. I can't remember if the alternator actually does that or not...I'm pretty sure it does.

Well, not much I can do with it at the moment, so I shan't stress about it until I have money. :)
